Top Tips to Help your Blog Rank on Google

In 2019, SEO content will mainly concern the public.

If you want to improve your content marketing and get a real return on investment, then you need to use practices that will actually benefit them.

High ranked content, which generates traffic and leads are always above all user-centric.

This is why today's tips for SEO content in 2019 give all readers a.k.a. V. I. P. And M.V.P. You must know and understand to get things right. Because, when you write correctly for the right people, your writing and your content will be high.

Main Key to creating your best SEO content in 2019

Write to the right people with targeted keywords

If you do not optimize it with targeted keywords, then your SEO content will not reach the right people.

What do I mean by "targeted keywords"?

These are the key words and phrases that your audience niche is actively looking for.

To find these conditions, you must first understand:

What are your audience segments
What kind of information do they need.
Why do they need this information?
Which keywords do they use to find it?

This may sound like a lot, but it's not really the case if you break it down into a few activities:
Public Search: Identify the type of audience you want to offer. Then go where they gather online. Talk to them. Check them out. Determine their habits, preferences, demographics and personal figures. (Marketing Land is a good guide on this process.)
Keyword Research: Find relevant and cost-effective keywords that relate to your expertise, products / services, and your audience's research intent.
Search by Topic: Present the content topic based on the targeted keywords you've searched for and what your audience wants to know.

Note readability

There are a few things in SEO content that reach the top of the SERP, including this key feature:

It is incredibly readable.

When your audience clicks on your link, every element of the page makes them want to stay and read.

And, while they live and read, this makes their page look great for Google.

He explains: "Hey, this page is relevant to search queries! The user has found the information he was looking for! "

That sign is called resident time, or when
Readability contributes to longer stay times with some qualities that are cooked in:

To be readable, your content must convey all types of information in an understandable way.

And, when your content is understandable to more people, more people will stay longer, which will help your Google ranking.

Improve your page speed

A simple way to improve your SEO content in 2019:

Improve your page speed.

Help your pages and content load and display faster.

The slower your page speed, the more frustrated your users are.

Who wants to sit and wait for the website to load?

According to a BBC News report, half the buyers will not wait more than 3 seconds to load the retail page.

And research by the Nielsen Norman Group showed that most users

Provide the facts (and cite them correctly)

Nowadays, the Internet allows almost any "expert" to make bizarre statements without backing up data. (See Snopes junk news collection to see what I mean.)

This means that those who provide supporting facts, sources, and data in their content will easily differentiate themselves for the better.

The Key to Trustworthy SEO Content: Search!

Do some basic research

Basic research is a huge link magnet for SEO content.

If you can incorporate new statistics, studies, information and research into your documents, you will create opportunities for other websites to send them back and cite your results, not of incredible value to your area. be mentioned. And your audience

According to Mantis Research and Buzzsumo's 2018 marketing report, 56% of marketers who use original research in their content say it exceeds expectations.

How to get more Traffic on your Blog or Website Free

These tips will help you direct more traffic to your website:

> Get noticed on Google key to success on the web is ensuring members of your target market can find you through search engines such as Google.

To help raise your visibility, Swift says, work with a search engine optimization specialist. An SEO expert can help you to set up your site so it gets the highest-possible ranking in search engine listings.

> Connect with social media Make your website more credible by connecting it to your other online initiatives.

The more “digital assets” you have, such as a LinkedIn profile or a Facebook page, Swift says, the more credibility and visibility your website will have.

Those social media profiles will create a “spider-web effect,” Swift says. A search engine can pull your name from several online locations, which in turn will give you a higher ranking in a search.

> Create links Use your website to demonstrate your connections to your target market.

Set up links between your website and important associations or organizations related to your niche, Swift says. For instance, she says, if you work with doctors, set up a link to a medical association: “It shows that you’re in that community. It also enhances your [SEO] when people are looking online for an advisor who serves physicians.”

Remember to set up links to any articles you have written, Swift adds, to establish yourself as an expert and to further improve your SEO.

Generate leads Include a call to action on your website, says Loic Jeanjean, director of web marketing with Vancouver-based Advisor Websites. Invite prospects to give their names and email addresses in order to download a piece of information, such as a case study or to register for a seminar.

Including such a call to action, he says, will give you a list of names of prospects you can contact further. For example, you could add those names to a “drip marketing” campaign, in which you routinely send information to lead in the hope they will contact you.

Alternatively, you could contact these leads directly to ask whether they have any questions about their financial goals or would like to arrange a meeting.

Stay relevant Keep the information on your website fresh and timely to maintain visitors’ interest.

Update the site with new content, such as educational material and tips on seasonal issues a couple of times a month.

If you have a blog, Swift says, maintain a regular publication schedule. Most successful blogs are updated weekly — or at least, monthly — in order to draw repeat visitors.

7 Essential SEO Tips and Tricks in 2019

7 Essential SEO Tips and Tricks in 2019

If you have been doing business online for a while, you know that SEO is no longer a simple affair. In fact, it’s becoming harder and harder to become relevant and get the results you want.
Gone are the days when you could hack your way to success by stuffing some keywords into a text and catapult your site on Google’s first page of results.
Today, it’s all about quality content, but that doesn’t mean that SEO is dead. It is, in fact, very much alive, just respawned into a completely different shape.
Ranking high takes a lot of effort today, but it’s not the impossible task some digital marketers make it up to be.

I have been writing web content continuously since 2009, and I’ve been there for most of the changes that happened in the world of SEO, keywords, and digital marketing.
From collaborations with more than 500 clients, I know for a fact that many digital entrepreneurs still think that a couple of keywords added here and there will propel their website to the top. It’s 2019, and one thing is sure — that is not going to happen.
So if you’re only doing seven things to improve your rankings this year, make sure they are these ones.
An SSL certificate is vital for a website, as it provides assurance about its identity to its visitors.
You can see whether a website has an SSL certificate installed by clicking on the SSL icon in the form of a lock displayed on the address bar.
Like on this website:
If the website doesn’t have an SSL certificate, it will display a “Not secure” warning in the same place.
SSL works by protecting the information on a website by encrypting the data transfer to the visitor’s browser.
Most of the popular WordPress hosting services, including Bluehost and HostGator, come with a free SSL certificate so you can keep your customers and website safe. You can also purchase one separately.
Titles and headings help search engines and readers to understand a text. They are the first thing readers see, and they should convey the message of the article.
Because readers tend to pay more attention to titles and headings than to the chunk of text that follows them, it’s essential for them to be informative.
Optimizing headings is one of the easiest ways to improve SEO because you don’t have to go out of your way to do it. You get points for something you were going to do anyway — all you need to do is get it right.
“But wait,” you’ll say, “I thought that headings having an impact on SEO was a myth.” And you would be right. However, better text is better for SEO, and having well-crafted headings will make your text easier to read. And if you want to include some keywords in your post, headings are a great home for them because they capture the attention quicker.
It goes without saying that you should always use images. Now that we’ve established that, let’s talk about prepping images to use in your content.
Once you have decided which images to use in your blog post, it’s time to optimize them. The file name is the place to start — don’t go with DSC57869.jpg or something similar. Google doesn’t know what that is, so give it a hint.
If your image is of a dog in Aspen, name the file dog-aspen.jpg. Try to name the main subject of the photo at the beginning of the file name.
Next, choose the format. There are no right or wrong choices here in terms of SEO, with JPEG being a popular option for clarity and larger photos, and PNG for those situations where you want to preserve background transparency.
Scale the image for SEO to reduce the file size and improve loading times. WordPress offers multiple sizes to choose from once the image is uploaded, but you still need to compress it, so the website loads fast. Plugins such as Smush or Short Pixel are there to do the job for you — you can forget about them after installation.
Being featured in “Position 0” on Google is the holy grail of SEO these days. By getting your content all the way to the top of the search page, even before the actual search results, you get additional exposure for your brand.
For example, if you type “SEO” in Google’s search bar, this is what comes up right at the top:
As you can see, featured snippets aim at answering the question right away, so technically, you can get your answer even without scrolling down the page or even clicking on the snippet.
Getting featured in the snippets is not easy. Research provided by Ahrefs shows that 99.58% of the pages featured in snippets already rank in top 10 of Google, so the conclusion is that the chances to get featured are higher if you already rank high for a specific query.
Interestingly enough, Ahrefs also found that the featured snippet is stealing clicks from the #1 ranking result, but it doesn’t necessarily attract more clicks by itself.
The numbers they provided from their study of 2 million snippets, a featured snippet attracts ~8.6% of clicks (on average) and the #1 ranking page below gets ~19.6% of clicks (on average).
But when there is no snippet on the page, the #1 one ranking page will get ~26% of all clicks.
To get featured in snippets, you need to focus on question-type search queries, but also on long-tail queries, which are demonstrated to trigger featured snippets in the same study by Ahrefs.
The heading above may sound a bit patronizing for seasoned writers, but this is one of those situations where everyone knows what they have to do, only for many to fail spectacularly.
Evergreen content remains relevant well past its publication date. Of course, this is easier for some than others. If you have a blog featuring news about celebrities, you need to build authority in other ways. Still, evergreen content is the number one factor that will drive constant traffic to your website.
Evergreen posts offer great value for money because they retain their relevance over the years. They are also tremendously beneficial for your SEO strategy because they gain link consistency over time while driving traffic.
Kevan Lee from Buffer has a very informative article on evergreen content, in which he suggests strategies for creating content that will last, including writing without assuming knowledge from the reader› and narrowing your topic. The Complete List of Evergreen Content Ideas for Your Blog is a great example of an evergreen post and makes a terrific read if you want to explore more on the topic.
Readability is a term that refers to the ability to read and understand a text. As such, focusing on making a text accessible and easy to comprehend by the majority of users is essential when creating web content.
Because it is not possible to know what level of understanding readers will have, digital marketers rely on math equations to measure the readability of a text. Using tools such as Yoast SEO for WordPress, you can have your text analyzed automatically for multiple factors that improve readability. These include the number of words in a sentence, the use of passive voice, the number of interconnecting words you use to break down sentences into chunks that are easy to read and understand and more.
Here is what Yoast SEO says about this blog post I’m currently writing:
As you can see, I could do with more transition words, so the text is even easier to digest. I have enough variety in my sentences and the length of paragraphs and sentences is good. Yoast SEO also gives you an idea of how complex a text is by displaying the Flesch reading ease score. You should aim for a score of at least 60–70 for text that is easy to read.
A vital thing that many content writers don’t grasp in the beginning is that writing copy for the web is not the same with writing fiction or academic texts. It might be difficult in the beginning to find your “voice,” but once you do, it will become second nature to write for a very general audience.
Link building is a subject that many digital marketers roll their eyes at, and they are quite right to do so. I’m not talking here about link building circa 2010 when search engines would index and rank just about anything as long as you had a guy or gal somewhere in a basement building links for your site.
I’m talking about building relevant links since the Google Core Algorithm is based on links and that is not something that is likely to change soon. Backlinks are now just a piece of the puzzle when it comes to SEO, so make sure they aren’t your entire SEO strategy.
Instead of focusing on numbers, focus on creating content that generates links naturally. If you create content that is good enough to get ranked well by search engines, chances are some publication will cite it, link to it, and build you some links organically.
Kelsey Reaves at did an interesting experiment that showed the power of links generated naturally vs. the processes the same website had back in 2015. It was all about networking and growing your database of friends so that you can reach out in an authentic way. A sort of content-buddies approach, if you will. Yes, this will take time, but the results are rewarding because you get your content out there while improving your networking skills at the same time.
The SEO game is constantly evolving, so make sure you stay ahead of it and capture the traffic you need for your business by implementing the tips above.
